Job Summary
Role Definition: Provides technical expertise necessary to design all aspects of production, costs, quality, compliance to safety guidelines, and environmental requirements for manufacturing.
Responsibilities
- Lead manufacturing engineering activities for the Paint Line.
- Lead Design, installation, and optimization of New / existing Paint Line processes and equipment.
- Manage day-to-day PQVC performance and resolve operational issues.
- Develop and improve paint and post-paint trim processes, tooling, and standards.
- Create, update and release all the APQP / PMD documents for Paint line
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance asset utilization, efficiency, and productivity
Desired Qualifications
- University or technical school degree in a Manufacturing Engineering-related degree;
- Thorough knowledge of manufacturing and industrial engineering concepts; and
- Good communication, interpersonal and teamwork skills
- Good knowledge of Transmission / Gearbox Assembly, Testing and its operation.
- Prior experience working in a manufacturing workplace.
- Ability to work with a diverse group of employees, department, vendors and customers.

- Selects and utilizes tools, techniques and measurements associated with a lean assessment.

Project Management
Knowledge of effective project management strategies and tactics; ability to plan, organize,
monitor, and control projects, ensuring efficient utilization of technical and administrative resources to achieve project objectives.
- Provides input for Gantt or PERT charts or their equivalent to track project progress and status.

Knowledge of approaches, tools, techniques for recognizing, anticipating, and resolving organizational, operational or process problems; ability to apply knowledge of problem solving appropriately to diverse situations.
- Identifies and documents specific problems and resolution alternatives.
- Examines a specific problem and understands the perspective of each involved stakeholder.
- Develops alternative techniques for assessing accuracy and relevance of information.
