WE ARE HIRING — WEDDING DECORATION & DRAPERY CREW (BASED IN SINGAPORE — WORK PERMIT SPONSORED)

PLEASE READ FIRST: this is a HANDS-ON craftsman role. You must have worked with your own hands in wedding, pandal, tent-house or exhibition decoration. Office, sales and design-only profiles will not be shortlisted.

ABOUT US

Alangkaar (Raja's Catering & Alangkaar Weddings) is one of Singapore's leading Indian wedding and events groups. We are building a permanent expert events division: decoration, decorative lighting, sound, stage and truss, ceiling decoration for hotels and shopping centres, tentage, and furniture/equipment rental.

THE JOB

- Build decoration sets: backdrops, arches, entrance pieces, table settings

- Drapery and fabric work: pleating, swagging, ceiling drapes, backdrop tensioning — finishing quality is the whole job

- Flower work: garlands, floral panels, fresh and artificial arrangements

- Warehouse duty between events: cleaning, repairs, packing sets for the next job

YOU MUST HAVE

- 2+ years in wedding / pandal / tent-house / exhibition decoration work

- Skilled hands: fabric, flowers, thermocol/foam carving, or prop fabrication

- Fit for physical setup work, working at height, weekend and evening events

SALARY — SET BY YOUR EXPERIENCE

Fixed SGD 800 to SGD 1,000 per month (basic + allowances), starting point decided by proven experience. Plus overtime at 1.5x past 44 hours/week.



Realistic monthly earnings: SGD 1,100 to SGD 1,400 (approx. Rs 70,000 to 90,000). Pay reviewed after your first 6 months of events.

SKILLS TEST (SEC-K) — REQUIRED BEFORE TRAVEL

Selected candidates must pass the Skills Evaluation Certificate SEC(K) test at the BCA-appointed Overseas Testing Centre in CHENNAI, INDIA before the Singapore Work Permit is issued. THE COMPANY BOOKS YOUR TEST SLOT AND PAYS THE FULL TEST FEE. You only attend on the booked date and pass the written + practical test in your trade. Candidates outside Tamil Nadu: we book the nearest available centre and reimburse travel to the test.

WHAT WE PROVIDE

- Singapore Work Permit (company-sponsored), 2-year renewable

- Housing, work transport, medical insurance and doctor plan — company paid

- Overtime paid monthly to your bank account with itemised payslip

- Air ticket to Singapore and return ticket at end of contract
