#Role Description - Machining and Heat Treatment Plant

Skilled ITI technicians required for maintenance & upkeep of forging plant machinery. You’ll support the day-to-day operations of forging presses, furnaces, conveyors, hydraulic/pneumatic systems, and ensure minimal downtime with quick troubleshooting.

#Qualifications / Key Requirements - Machining and Heat Treatment Plant

1. Education: ITI in Fitter / Electrician trade from NCVT/SCVT-recognised institute

2. Experience: 2-5 years of hands-on experience in forging/hot metal/press shop preferred. Freshers with good practical knowledge can apply for trainee roles

3. Technical Skills:

1. Fitter: Fitting, alignment, die/spindle changing, hydraulic & pneumatic systems, bearing replacement

2. Electrical: Panel wiring, motor winding, PLC basics, fault finding, VFD/transformer maintenance

4. Knowledge: Reading mechanical/electrical drawings, use of measuring tools like vernier, micrometre

5. Shift: Must be flexible for 3-shift rotation + overtime during breakdowns

#Key Responsibilities -Machining and Heat Treatment Plant

1. Fitter: Preventive & breakdown maintenance of CNC/ VMC Machine and Heat Treatment furnaces, and material handling equipment

2. Electrical: Maintain HT/LT panels, motors, control panels, sensors, limit switches, and wiring of the forging line

3. Assist in die setting, machine setup changes & trial runs as per production schedule

4. Record maintenance data, spares used, and support CMMS/SAP entries

5. Follow 5S, safety rules, and LOTO procedures on the shop floor

6. Coordinate with Maintenance Manager & Production team for planned shutdowns

7. Support fabrication, minor welding, and housekeeping of the work area
