An Operation Theatre (OT) Technician manages the surgical suite, prepares and sterilizes equipment, and assists doctors, anaesthetists, and nurses during operations to ensure safe, smooth, and infection-free surgical procedures.
Pre-Surgery Duties
- Get the operation room ready and clean.
- Check and test lights, monitors, and anaesthesia machines.
- Sterilize and arrange surgical tools on trays.
- Help move and place the patient safely on the table. [1, 2]
Intra-Surgery Duties
- Hand tools and supplies to the surgeon.
- Watch machine readings and vital signs.
- Assist the anaesthesia team with fluids or drugs.
- Keep the sterile field secure and clean. [1, 2, 3]
Post-Surgery Duties
- Clean and pack used tools for sterilization.
- Disinfect the room and dispose of waste.
- Help shift the patient to the recovery unit.
- Restock inventory and update logs
Pay: ₹20,657.87 - ₹30,868.23 per month
