Position: Swimming Coach

Reports To: Sports Coordinator / Principal
Location: School Campus Gunjur Bangalore

Job Purpose

To provide safe, structured, and engaging swimming instruction to students of different age groups and skill levels, while promoting swimming proficiency, water safety, physical fitness, discipline, and sportsmanship.

Key Responsibilities

- Plan and conduct swimming classes for students across different age groups and ability levels.
- Teach swimming techniques, including freestyle, backstroke, breaststroke, butterfly, floating, breathing, and diving.
- Assess students' swimming abilities and track their progress regularly.
- Develop appropriate training plans for beginners, intermediate, and advanced swimmers.
- Ensure strict adherence to swimming pool safety rules and school policies.
- Closely supervise students in and around the swimming pool at all times.
- Conduct warm-up, stretching, and cool-down activities before and after sessions.
- Teach students essential water-safety and emergency-response skills.
- Identify talented students and provide additional coaching for swimming competitions.
- Prepare and train students for inter-school, district,



and other swimming competitions.
- Maintain attendance, performance records, and progress reports.
- Coordinate with the PE department, teachers, and school management regarding student participation and performance.
- Ensure proper maintenance and safe use of swimming equipment.
- Report any accidents, injuries, unsafe conditions, or equipment issues immediately to the concerned authority.
- Promote discipline, teamwork, confidence, and a positive attitude among students.
- Participate in school sports events, competitions, camps, and other related activities as required.

Required Qualifications

- Certification/Diploma in Swimming Coaching, Physical Education, Sports Science, or a related field.
- Valid swimming coach/lifeguard certification from a recognized organization is preferred.
- Current First Aid and CPR certification is highly desirable.
- Previous experience coaching children in a school, academy, sports club, or similar workplace.

Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
