SECTION II: ROLE SUMMARY (Purpose of the Role)

The Senior Supply Chain Manager will be responsible for leading strategic sourcing, procurement, contract management, supplier relationship management, and supply chain transformation initiatives across assigned categories and business units. The role will drive cost optimization, value creation, risk mitigation, supplier performance improvement, and governance while ensuring alignment with organizational objectives.

The incumbent will collaborate with senior business stakeholders, finance, legal, project teams, and suppliers to develop and execute category strategies, negotiate complex commercial agreements, improve procurement efficiency, and support digitalization initiatives within the supply chain function.

SECTION III: KEY RESPONSIBILITIES / ACCOUNTABILITIES

Strategic Sourcing & Procurement

- Develop and implement category sourcing strategies aligned with business objectives.
- Drive competitive bidding processes, RFQs/RFPs, commercial evaluations, and contract negotiations.
- Deliver annual savings, cost optimization, and value creation targets.
- Identify opportunities for supplier consolidation, standardization, and procurement efficiency improvement.
- Lead high-value and strategic procurement engagements.

Supplier Relationship & Performance Management

- Develop and maintain relationships with key domestic and international suppliers.
- Conduct supplier evaluations, performance reviews, and business reviews.
- Drive supplier development initiatives to enhance quality, delivery, innovation,



and competitiveness.
- Manage supplier risks and business continuity plans.

Contract & Commercial Management

- Lead commercial negotiations and finalization of contracts, rate agreements, and service agreements.
- Ensure compliance with contractual obligations and corporate procurement policies.
- Monitor contract renewals, price revisions, and performance milestones.
- Resolve commercial disputes and contractual issues effectively.

Supply Chain Governance & Compliance

- Ensure adherence to procurement policies, delegation of authority, and compliance frameworks.
- Support internal and external audits.
- Develop and implement governance controls for procurement transactions.
- Ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and organizational standards.

Digitalization & Process Improvement

- Drive SAP MM and digital procurement initiatives.
- Leverage analytics and spend management tools for informed decision-making.
- Lead process improvement and automation projects to enhance procurement effectiveness.
- Promote best practices and continuous improvement across the supply chain function.

Stakeholder Management

- Partner with business leaders to understand procurement requirements and support business growth.
- Engage with finance, legal, projects, operations, and senior management for alignment and decision-making.
- Present procurement performance, savings, risks, and strategic initiatives to leadership teams.

Team Leadership

- Lead, mentor, and develop procurement professionals.
- Build a high-performance culture focused on accountability, collaboration, and continuous learning.
- Support succession planning and capability development within the SCM function.

SECTION V: KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE

Minimum Qualifications

- B.E. / B.Tech from a reputed institution.
- MBA / PG Diploma in Supply Chain Management, Materials Management, Operations, or equivalent preferred.
- Robust exposure to ERP platforms, preferably SAP MM, Ariba, or equivalent procurement systems.

Experience

- 15-20 years of experience in Supply Chain Management, Strategic Sourcing, Procurement, and Contract Management.
- Proven experience in handling large spend categories and complex procurement programs.
- Experience in managing cross-functional stakeholders and leading procurement transformation initiatives.
- Exposure to manufacturing, engineering, infrastructure, EPC, technology, or diversified business environments preferred.

Language Skills

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
