Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated Power Electronics Engineer to join our R&D; team. This role focuses on the design, simulation, development, and testing of power electronic converters and control systems. The ideal candidate is passionate about power electronics and eager to apply their expertise to hands-on, real-world projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and analyze power electronic converters and associated systems.
- Develop and test closed-loop control systems for power electronic applications.
- Perform circuit and system-level simulations using industry-standard tools.
- Participate in hardware assembly, bring-up, testing, and debugging activities.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on research and development initiatives.
- Analyze test results and troubleshoot hardware and control-related issues.
- Document design outcomes, test results, technical findings, and development activities.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- 8–10 years of relevant experience in power electronics.
- Strong understanding of power converter topologies, control techniques,
and modulation strategies.
- Proficiency in simulation tools such as MATLAB/Simulink, PLECS, LTspice, or equivalent.
- Hands-on experience with hardware build-up, laboratory testing, measurement, and debugging.
- Robust interest in developing and implementing closed-loop control systems.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Self-driven approach with a strong commitment to continuous learning.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with embedded programming in C/C++.
- Familiarity with DSP controllers, particularly the TI C2000 series.
- Understanding of real-time control implementation.
- Exposure to practical implementation of control algorithms on embedded platforms.
- Experience with laboratory instrumentation and debugging of power electronic systems.
