Job Functions / Responsibilities

- Perform and coordinate day-to-day general ledger activities and support the timely and accurate month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes.
- Own and review complex account reconciliations, ensuring timely resolution of outstanding items and identification of financial risks.
- Prepare, review, and analyze journal entries related to accounts receivable, accounts payable, accruals, and other key accounting areas.
- Perform reconciliations between interfaced systems (e.g., Alfa/WAS) and the general ledger, investigate discrepancies, and drive corrective actions with relevant stakeholders.
- Lead investigations and resolution of suspense and clearing account balances, ensuring compliance with internal policies and accounting standards.
- Preparation of payments and booking of bank statements
- Execute and coordinate SOX controls, support internal and external audits, and ensure timely remediation of control deficiencies.
- Prepare and support indirect tax filings, including VAT declarations and related reconciliations.
- Prepare financial analyses, investigate balance sheet and P&L; variances, and provide insights to management.




- Participate in special projects and perform other ad hoc assignments as required.

Knowledge & Skills REQUIRED:

Education:

- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or Business administration

Skills:

- 3-5 years of relevant experience in financial accounting, bookkeeping, general ledger accounting, or business administration.
- Experience with account reconciliations, journal entries, accounts payable/receivable processes, audit, internal controls and month-end close activities is required.
- Experience working in an international or shared services environment is preferred
- Knowledge of Exact is a preferred

Competencies and Behaviour:

- Robust customer service, excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently, handling multiple priorities while meeting non-negotiable deadlines.
- Strong PC skills - intermediate Excel.
- Good communication skills in English (and Dutch is welcomed, not required).
