Urgently required for the post of Mechanical Design Engineer

Key Responsibilities

- Prepare detailed 2D drawings and 3D models of mechanical components and assemblies.
- Develop designs based on customer specifications, technical requirements, and project drawings.
- Prepare GA drawings, fabrication drawings, part drawings, assembly drawings, and BOMs.
- Perform basic engineering calculations related to dimensions, tolerances, loads, materials, and component selection.
- Review and modify existing designs for performance, manufacturability, and cost optimization.
- Coordinate with Production, Foundry, Fabrication, QC, and Purchase teams for smooth execution of designs.
- Ensure drawings comply with applicable engineering standards and company specifications.
- Support the preparation of technical documentation and maintain drawing/design records.
- Review customer drawings and identify technical requirements, deviations, and design issues.
- Provide technical support during manufacturing and resolve design-related shop-floor issues.
- Conduct design reviews and incorporate feedback from internal and external stakeholders.
- Maintain proper revision control of drawings and engineering documents.




- Support reverse engineering and development of new products/components.
- Ensure timely completion of assigned design projects.

Required Skills

- Good knowledge of Mechanical Engineering fundamentals, manufacturing processes, and materials.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and preferably SolidWorks / Creo / Inventor.
- Knowledge of GD&T;, tolerances, fits, and engineering drawing standards.
- Understanding of fabrication, machining, casting, welding, and assembly processes.
- Ability to read and interpret customer and engineering drawings.
- Positive analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong coordination and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple design assignments.

Qualification & Experience

- Qualification: Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering.
- Experience: 26 years in mechanical design/manufacturing.
- Experience in heavy engineering, industrial equipment, casting, fabrication, sugar machinery, mining, cement, or similar industries will be preferred.
