Proposal Engineer / Business Development Engineer

Location: Mumbai / Thane

Educational Qualification

- B.E. in Chemical Engineering or Environmental Engineering

Experience

- 2 to 4 years of relevant experience in the Water Treatment, Wastewater Treatment, ETP, STP, WTP, or similar process industry.

Key Responsibilities Proposal & Tender Management

- Prepare quotations, budgetary proposals, trial quotations, and techno-commercial offers based on client requirements and project specifications.
- Assist in the preparation, submission, and coordination of tenders, bids, and pre-qualification documents.
- Review bid documents to ensure compliance with PQQ, RFQ, RFT, ITT, technical specifications, commercial terms, and client requirements.
- Develop and compile technical documents including specifications, technical proposals, trial reports, and supporting engineering documents.

Client & Business Development

- Track, monitor, and follow up on all submitted quotations, proposals, and tender submissions with prospective clients and channel partners.
- Build and maintain solid relationships with clients, consultants, associates, and business partners to identify new business opportunities.
- Conduct client meetings and presentations to understand project requirements and promote the company's products and services.
- Identify potential projects, generate leads, and support business development initiatives.

Coordination & Communication

- Act as a key liaison between clients, associates, internal teams, and management for ongoing projects and new business opportunities.
- Communicate client feedback, project requirements, and market intelligence to relevant stakeholders.
- Ensure timely sharing of marketing materials, technical literature, presentations, and company credentials with associates and clients.
- Coordinate with engineering, procurement, and project teams to ensure accurate and timely proposal submissions.

Marketing & Documentation





- Prepare and send introductory letters, company profiles, technical brochures, project references, and other marketing materials to prospective clients.
- Maintain and update marketing databases and records, including:
- Quotation Registers
- Installation Reference Lists
- Industry-wise Project References
- Pending Order Reports
- Client Databases and Lead Trackers
- Continuously update company presentation materials, product information, and performance records.

Project Coordination & Customer Support

- Attend and participate in pre-bid, post-bid, post-order, and techno-commercial meetings with clients, consultants, and stakeholders.
- Support project execution teams through effective client coordination and communication.
- Manage project schedules, deliverables, and coordination activities to ensure timely project progress.
- Provide after-sales support and coordination, ensuring prompt resolution of client queries and maintaining customer satisfaction.

Engineering & Technical Support

- Support detailed engineering reviews and technical discussions during proposal and project execution stages.
- Coordinate with internal engineering teams to develop optimized project solutions in line with client requirements.
- Review technical specifications, drawings, and project documentation to ensure accuracy and compliance.

Preferred Candidate Profile

- Experience in Water Treatment Plants (WTP), Effluent Treatment Plants (ETP), STP, or Industrial Water & Wastewater Projects will be highly preferred.
- Strong understanding of technical sales, tendering, proposal engineering, and project coordination.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and client relationship management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple assignments and work effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Candidates from Mumbai, Thane, Navi Mumbai, or nearby locations will be given preference.

Pay: ₹15,626.52 - ₹60,238.66 per month
