We are looking for a Purchase & Procurement Executive to manage sourcing and procurement of raw materials, consumables, tooling, maintenance items and other requirements for our forging manufacturing operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and develop reliable suppliers for raw materials, steel, consumables, tooling and maintenance requirements.
- Obtain and compare quotations, negotiate prices and commercial terms.
- Prepare purchase orders and ensure timely procurement.
- Coordinate with production, stores, maintenance and accounts teams.
- Track material deliveries and follow up with suppliers.
- Develop alternate suppliers and reduce procurement costs.
- Maintain supplier records, purchase data and documentation.
- Monitor market prices and identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Ensure purchased materials meet required quality and specifications.
Requirements
- Diploma/Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Production, Supply Chain or related field preferred.
- 2–5 years of experience in industrial/manufacturing procurement preferred.
- Valuable negotiation and vendor-management skills.
- Knowledge of engineering materials, steel, tools and industrial consumables is an advantage.
- Good communication, coordination and analytical skills.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and ERP/purchase software preferred.
