Senior Accountant

Position Overview

We are looking for an experienced Senior Accountant with strong expertise in accounting and GST compliance, along with the ability to manage and guide a team. The candidate should have hands-on experience in financial accounting, reconciliations, statutory compliance, and audit support. Exposure to UAE VAT will be an added advantage but is not mandatory.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage day-to-day accounting activities, including:
- General ledger and journal entries
- Accounts payable and receivable
- Bank and ledger reconciliations
- Month-end and year-end closing activities
- Preparation and review of financial statements and MIS reports
- Handle GST compliance and ensure timely and accurate GST filings.
- Review GST reconciliations, input tax credit, output tax, and related documentation.
- Ensure accounting records are accurate, complete, and maintained in accordance with applicable accounting standards.
- Lead, supervise, and review the work of the accounting team.
- Allocate tasks, monitor deliverables, and ensure timely completion of accounting activities.
- Assist in statutory, internal, and external audits, including preparation of schedules, supporting documents, reconciliations, and responses to auditor queries.
- Coordinate with auditors and internal stakeholders to ensure smooth completion of audit requirements.
- Identify accounting discrepancies and implement appropriate corrective actions.
- Support management with financial analysis, reporting, and other accounting-related requirements.
- Maintain proper documentation and ensure compliance with internal financial controls and processes.




- UAE VAT exposure will be preferred and the candidate should be willing to support UAE VAT-related accounting and compliance activities where required.

Key Requirements

- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field.
- 5+ years of relevant accounting experience, preferably in a structured organization or accounting/consulting environment.
- Strong hands-on experience in GST and accounting operations.
- Proven experience in team handling and supervision.
- Valuable understanding of accounting principles, reconciliations, and financial reporting.
- Experience in handling audit requirements and coordination with auditors.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills.
- Good communication and stakeholder-management skills.
- UAE VAT experience is preferred but not mandatory.
- Proficiency in accounting software and MS Excel.

- Timely and error-free GST compliance and reconciliations.

- Timely closure of audit requirements with minimal observations.
- Accuracy of financial reports, reconciliations, and supporting schedules.
- Compliance with internal accounting policies and statutory requirements.

Preferred Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate should be a strong hands-on accountant and team leader with sound GST knowledge, excellent accounting fundamentals, and the ability to independently manage accounting operations while supporting audits and compliance activities.

Pay: ₹40,000.00 - ₹60,000.00 per month
