Senior Backend Engineer

About the Role

We are hiring a Senior Backend Engineer to join a small, high-ownership engineering team building a new product component from the ground up.

You will design, develop, deploy, and support scalable backend services used by tens of thousands of users daily.

MUST-HAVE REQUIREMENTS

- 6+ years of backend development experience with TypeScript
- 3+ years of hands-on NestJS experience
- Strong knowledge of NestJS architecture and best practices
- Proven hands-on experience with Test-Driven Development (TDD)
- Experience building and supporting NestJS applications on AWS
- Strong understanding of microservices and event-driven architecture
- Advanced experience with Claude Code or similar AI-assisted coding tools
- Experience with scalable system design and production applications
- Experience working in Agile / startup environments
- Willing to work full-time from our Koramangala office
- Joining within 30 days

Key Responsibilities

- Design and develop clean, scalable, maintainable backend applications
- Build and support production-grade NestJS services on AWS
- Participate in architecture, technical design,



and code reviews
- Follow engineering best practices including SOLID, KISS, and YAGNI
- Apply true TDD and deliver highly testable code
- Work with microservices and event-driven systems
- Deploy, operate, monitor, and troubleshoot backend services
- Provide L3 production support
- Improve application performance, reliability, security, scalability, and cost efficiency
- Collaborate with Backend, Frontend, QA, Product, and Engineering teams
- Use and improve AI-assisted development workflows, including Claude Code

Pay: ₹1,600,000.00 - ₹3,300,000.00 per year
