Conveyor Design Engineer – Bulk Material Handling

Job Summary

We are looking for experienced Conveyor Design Engineers / Material Handling Engineers to join the Material Handling Division of a leading global engineering organization in Chennai.

The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in Bulk Material Handling, Belt Conveyor Systems, Conveyor Design and Engineering.

Key Responsibilities

- Design and engineering of high-capacity belt conveyor systems
- Develop conveyor layouts, equipment arrangements and material handling systems
- Perform design calculations and engineering checks
- Work on conveyor equipment interfaces and technical specifications
- Prepare and review 2D/3D drawings and engineering deliverables
- Participate in technical reviews and design coordination
- Coordinate with structural, electrical, procurement, fabrication and site teams
- Provide engineering support during project execution
- Support proposals and engineering activities for international projects

Required Skills

- Strong experience in Bulk Material Handling Engineering
- Hands-on experience in Belt Conveyor Design
- Knowledge of Conveyor System Design & Calculations
- Proficiency in AutoCAD
- Experience with Belt Analyst or equivalent conveyor design software is preferred




- Positive understanding of material handling equipment and conveyor components
- Ability to coordinate with multidisciplinary engineering teams

Preferred Industry Experience

Candidates from industries such as:

Mining | Cement | Steel | Power | Heavy Engineering | Minerals | Ports | Bulk Material Handling
