Role Overview:

We are seeking a Senior Automation Engineer with proven expertise in automation systems for both steel and paper manufacturing industries. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with DC Drives, AC Drives, PLCs, DCS systems—especially ABB, Rockwell, and Mitsubishi platforms.

Key Responsibilities:

- Design, development, and implementation of automation solutions for steel and paper manufacturing plants.
- Program and configure PLC/DCS systems for processes such as Rolling Mills, Continuous Casting, Pulping, Paper Machines, and Utilities.
- Integrate, commission, and troubleshoot DC and AC drives for machinery and process equipment.
- Develop and maintain SCADA/HMI interfaces for both steel and paper manufacturing systems.
- Optimize existing automation systems for productivity, quality, and energy efficiency.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams (mechanical, electrical, production) for project execution.
- Provide technical support and training for in-house maintenance and operations teams.




- Ensure compliance with applicable safety standards and industry regulations.
- Prepare and maintain technical documentation, including control system designs and operation manuals.

Key Skills & Competencies:

- Strong knowledge of both Steel and Paper Manufacturing Processes
- PLC Programming: ABB (AC500/800), Rockwell (ControlLogix), Mitsubishi (FX/Q Series)
- DCS Systems: ABB 800xA, Rockwell PlantPAx, Mitsubishi
- Drives: DC Drives, AC Drives – ABB, Rockwell, Mitsubishi
- Experience with SCADA/HMI systems: FactoryTalk, WinCC, Wonderware, or equivalent.
- Electrical panel knowledge related to automation.
- Problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Team leadership and mentoring abilities.

Qualifications:

- B.E./B.Tech in Electrical, Electronics, Instrumentation, or related fields
- Minimum 7 years of experience in automation engineering in steel and/or paper manufacturing industries
- Certifications in PLC/DCS systems (preferred)

Reporting To:

- Automation Manager / Head of Engineering

Pay: ₹500,000.00 - ₹700,000.00 per year
