The CNC Machine Setter is responsible for setting up CNC machines, tools, fixtures, offsets, and parameters to ensure accurate and efficient production as per engineering drawings and quality requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Set up CNC machines for production.
- Select and install required cutting tools and fixtures.
- Set tool offsets and work offsets.
- Read and understand engineering drawings.
- Perform trial runs and adjust machine settings.
- Support CNC operators during production.
- Check component dimensions and quality.
- Maintain production output and reduce cycle time.
- Follow safety and quality procedures.
- Maintain machine cleanliness and perform basic maintenance.
