Job Summary

House of EdTech is looking for a creative, curious, and proactive Social Media Intern to support our marketing and content team. The intern will work on social media content, trend research, content ideation, short-form video concepts, basic design, copywriting, video editing, and social media analytics.

This role is ideal for candidates who actively follow social media trends, understand short-form content, enjoy writing, and are interested in learning how brands grow through organic social media.

Key Responsibilities

- Create engaging content for Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube, X, and other social media platforms.
- Research social media trends, viral formats, trending topics, and content opportunities.
- Assist in planning and executing social media campaigns and content calendars.
- Develop content ideas, hooks, captions, and concepts for short-form videos and Reels.
- Create basic social media creatives using Canva.
- Perform basic video editing using Canva and other relevant video editing tools.
- Assist with the creation and editing of short-form video content.
- Use AI tools for research, content ideation, copywriting, content creation, and workflow optimization.
- Monitor social media engagement and performance metrics.
- Identify high-performing and underperforming content and suggest improvements.
- Collaborate with content creators, designers, video editors, and the marketing team.
- Ensure content is delivered consistently and within assigned deadlines.

Required Skills and Qualifications

- Strong interest in Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube, X, and current social media trends.
- Good understanding of Reels, short-form video content, hooks, captions,



and viral content formats.
- Good written and verbal English communication skills.
- Strong content writing and copywriting skills.
- Proficient in basic Canva design and video editing.
- Basic understanding of short-form video editing and social media content creation.
- Comfortable using AI tools for content research, ideation, and creation.
- Creative mindset with solid curiosity and willingness to learn.
- Proactive, consistent, and coachable.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.

Preferred / Additional Skills

- Experience managing a personal social media or creator account.
- Experience handling social media for college clubs, societies, or freelance projects.
- Familiarity with CapCut, Adobe Premiere Pro, Adobe After Effects, Figma, or Notion.
- Basic knowledge of social media analytics and performance tracking.
- Understanding of current social media trends and content formats.
