Job Description
We are always looking to expand our team of talented professionals at IT Resonance Inc and currently seeking qualified candidates that would make a good fit for SAP BW on HANA developer with hands-on AMDP
Role: SAP BW on HANA developer with hands-on AMDP
Experience: 6+ Years
Timings: 5.30 PM to 1.30 AM
Work mode: Remote
Contract Duration: 6+Months
SAP BW on HANA developer with hands-on AMDP (ABAP Managed Database Procedures) expertise and strong comprehension of SAP business processes to architect and build an EDW platform on SAP BW on HANA (appliance-based).
The role focuses on HANA push-down modelling, high performance data pipelines, data harmonization, and semantic layers that power enterprise reporting and analytics.
Core Technical
6–10+ years in SAP BW on HANA (or mixed BW 7.4/7.5 on HANA) with Eclipse BW Modeling Tools.
AMDP/SQLScript expert: Table functions, class-based AMDP, performance optimization, CE functions, exception handling.
Strong BW objects: ADSO design, Transformations, Routines/Start/End, DTPs, Composite Providers, Open ODS Views, Info Objects.
Extraction: ODP (SAPI/CDS/SLT), BW extractors (FI/CO, SD, MM, PP, PM/CS), delta mechanisms, timestamp-based deltas, and CDC patterns.
Performance engineering on HANA and BW (partitioning, pruning, push-down, calculation views, join types)
Authorizations: Analysis Authorizations and HANA SQL privileges.
Query: Build performance reliant queries for consumption in multiple reporting environments like SAP BOBJ, Tableau,
Power BI.
Process Knowledge
Solid understanding of SAP process flows across Order-to-Cash (SD), Procure-to-Pay (MM), Record-to-Report (FI/CO), and at least one of: Manufacturing (PP), Service (PM/CS/SM).
Familiarity with currency translation, pricing conditions, partner functions, stock/non-cumulative, GR/IR, and profitability data models.
Soft Skills
Robust communication and documentation skills; ability to translate business needs into best fit technical designs.
Experience working with global stakeholders and agile delivery.
Nice-to-Have
Exposure to SAP BOBJ, PowerBI or Tableau.
Exposure to BW/4HANA concepts and conversion readiness.
Exposure to Data Lakehouse concepts.
Exposure to integration with cloud data platforms (e.g., Data Lake, Data Fabric/Fabric, Azure/AWS connectivity via SDA/ODBC).
Knowledge of CI/CD for BW/HANA, automated testing, and metadata lineage tooling.
