Full-Time Accountant – Trading Firm

Job Summary

We are looking for a Full-Time Accountant to join our finance team and independently handle day-to-day accounting, bookkeeping, and vendor reconciliation for a mid-sized trading business.

The ideal candidate should have strong practical knowledge of accounting, excellent attention to detail, and experience handling a high volume of transactions.

Key Responsibilities

- Maintain day-to-day bookkeeping and accounting entries
- Record purchase, sales, expenses, receipts, payments and journal entries
- Perform vendor ledger reconciliation and identify outstanding/difference items
- Reconcile vendor statements with books of accounts
- Follow up with internal teams and vendors for reconciliation differences
- Ensure timely accounting of vendor invoices, debit notes and credit notes
- Bank reconciliation and other routine balance sheet reconciliations
- Maintain proper documentation and supporting records for accounting transactions
- Assist in GST-related reconciliations and routine compliance requirements




- Track vendor outstanding balances and ageing
- Support month-end closing and preparation of basic MIS reports
- Coordinate with the finance team, vendors and auditors as required

Requirements

- Bachelor's degree in Commerce / Accounting / Finance
- 2–5 years of relevant experience in accounting
- Strong knowledge of bookkeeping and vendor reconciliation
- Good understanding of accounting principles and ledger management
- Experience with Tally / ERP accounting software
- Good working knowledge of MS Excel
- Ability to independently identify and resolve accounting differences
- Solid attention to detail and accuracy
- Good communication and follow-up skills

Preferred Experience

Candidates with experience in trading, distribution, FMCG, retail or wholesale businesses will be preferred.

Salary: ₹10,000 – ₹25,000 per month, depending on experience and skill set.

Employment: Full-time, on-site.

Pay: ₹10,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
