Position Title- Audit Executive

Job Summary

The Audit Executive Gold Loan (Onsite) is responsiblefor conducting branch-level audits to ensure compliance with internal policies,regulatory requirements, and operational standards. The role involves verifyinggold loan documentation, assessing gold valuation processes, identifyingcontrol weaknesses, and supporting the implementation of corrective actions tomitigate operational and compliance risks.

Key Responsibilities

- Conduct onsite audits of gold loan branches as per the approved audit plan and audit schedule.

- Verify customer documentation, KYC records, loan files, and related documents for completeness and compliance.

- Review adherence to company policies, operational procedures, and regulatory guidelines governing gold loan operations.

- Examine gold quality assessment, weight verification, valuation practices, and protected custody procedures.

- Identify operational risks, control gaps, policy deviations, irregularities, and instances of non-compliance.

- Prepare detailed audit reports highlighting observations, risk assessments, and recommendations for improvement.

- Discuss audit findings with branch staff and management to ensure clarity and understanding of observations.

- Monitor and follow up on audit observations to ensure timely implementation of corrective and preventive actions.

- Maintain accurate audit documentation and working papers in accordance with audit standards.





- Escalate significant risks, fraud indicators, or control deficiencies to the Audit Manager as required.

- Support special audits, investigations, and compliance reviews when assigned.

Required Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.

- 14 years of experience in internal audit, operational audit, or gold loan operations.

- Knowledge of gold loan processes, KYC requirements, and regulatory compliance standards.

- Understanding of audit methodologies, risk assessment, and internal controls.

Skills & Competencies

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

- Attention to detail and accuracy in audit verification.

- Good report-writing and documentation skills.

- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.

- Ability to work independently and travel extensively for onsite audits.

- Proficiency in MS Office applications, particularly Excel and Word.

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience in NBFC, banking, or gold loan industry.

- Exposure to branch audits and operational risk assessments.

- Knowledge of fraud detection and compliance monitoring practices.

Working Conditions

- Frequent travel to branch locations for onsite audits.

- Ability to manage multiple audit assignments and meet deadlines.

- Willingness to work across assigned regions as per business requirements.
