Job Description – FOOD SAFETY AND QUALITY ASSURANCE Manager
Position: QC Manager
Location: Doddaballapur Industrial Area, North Bengaluru
Industry: Food & Nutritional / Contract Manufacturing
Employment Type: Full-time
Experience: 3–10 years
Salary: ₹25,000–₹40,000 per month
Working Days: 6 days a week
Shift: 6:00 AM–2:00 PM or 2:00 PM–10:00 PM
About the CompanyWe are a Food & Nutritional Contract Manufacturing company focused on manufacturing a diverse range of products, including:
- Ready-to-mix powder and liquid beverages
- Syrups and honey
- Energy bars and cereals
- Sauces and pastes
The manufacturing facility is located in the Doddaballapur Industrial Area, North Bengaluru.
Role OverviewWe are looking for an experienced and responsible QC Manager who can independently manage the Quality Control function at the manufacturing facility.
The candidate will be responsible for ensuring quality standards, statutory and regulatory compliance, documentation, raw-material and finished-product inspection, laboratory testing and production-related quality controls.
This is a hands-on role suited to someone who can independently take ownership of the function and work closely with production and other operational teams.
- Key Responsibilities
- Food Quality Control & Inspection Conduct inspection and quality checks of raw materials, work-in-progress (WIP) and finished goods (FG).
- Ensure products meet defined quality specifications and standards.
- Identify, document and escalate quality deviations and non-conformities.
- Coordinate corrective actions wherever required.
- Laboratory Testing Coordinate third-party laboratory testing of raw materials,
finished products and other samples as required.
- Maintain test reports, records and documentation systematically.
- Ensure testing is completed within required timelines.
- Statutory & Regulatory ComplianceIndependently maintain records and documentation relating to statutory, regulatory and certification compliance.
- Ensure quality-related records are current, accurate and audit-ready.
- Support internal, customer and regulatory audits as required.
- Raw Material Control & DispensingOversee inspection and release of raw materials for production.
- Ensure appropriate dispensing of raw materials in accordance with production requirements and approved specifications.
- Maintain necessary records related to material inspection and dispensing.
- 5. Production Quality SupportWork closely with the production team to ensure adherence to quality requirements.
- Monitor quality parameters during production.
- Identify potential quality issues proactively and recommend corrective measures.
- Support continuous improvement in quality processes.
- 6. Documentation & RecordsMaintain accurate QC records, inspection reports, test results and compliance documentation.
- Ensure traceability and availability of quality records.
- Prepare information and reports required by management.

Candidate ProfileThe ideal candidate should have:
- 3–10 years of experience in Quality Control, preferably in the food, nutrition, beverage or food-processing industry.
- A Bachelor's degree is required.
- Minimum 3 years of relevant Quality Control experience.
- Good understanding of QC processes, inspection and quality documentation.
- Experience handling regulatory, statutory and certification-related records.
- Ability to coordinate third-party laboratory testing.
- Strong documentation and record-keeping skills.
- Ability to work independently and take complete ownership of the QC function.
- Good coordination skills with production and other functional teams.
- Location & Mobility RequirementCandidates must be residing in North Bengaluru or within reasonable commuting distance of Doddaballapur.
- Own two-wheeler is mandatory for the role.
- Candidates should be comfortable working in either of the two shifts:
- 6:00 AM–2:00 PM, or
- 2:00 PM–10:00 PM
- Six working days per week.
