Role Overview

We are seeking a technically sound Technical Associate (Production & Field Operations) with an ITI Fitter background. This role offers a dynamic mix of shop-floor production oversight, local vendor coordination in Kolkata, and field-level installation/servicing at client sites across eastern India (Odisha, Jharkhand, Chhattisgarh).

The ideal candidate must possess strong practical domain knowledge, proficiency in engineering mechanical drawing, and good IT skills.

Key Responsibilities

- Production & Assembly Support (Factory Level): Assist in the assembly, mechanical integration, fitting, and preliminary testing of laboratory testing instruments. Conduct in-factory quality checks and calibration of equipment prior to dispatch, maintaining detailed production logs and inventories using computer applications.
- Local Vendor Coordination (Kolkata Region): Visit local vendors, machine shops, and component suppliers across Kolkata for material sourcing, component inspection, and job-work tracking. Ensure vendor deliveries strictly meet required dimensional tolerances and specifications based on engineering drawings.
- Field Operations & Site Support (Regional Travel): Travel to client manufacturing facilities and QA labs across Odisha, Jharkhand,



and Chhattisgarh for equipment installation, commissioning, demonstration, and routine servicing/troubleshooting. Coordinate with plant personnel and collect customer feedback.
- Technical Documentation & Office Tasks: Maintain digital and physical files for customer support queries, service logs, and dispatch documentation. Prepare technical reports, service entry sheets, and stock lists utilizing IT tools.

Candidate Qualifications & Requirements

- Education: ITI Fitter (NCVT / SCVT recognized).
- Key Technical Skills: Proficiency in engineering mechanical drawing (ability to read, interpret, and work with mechanical assembly layouts and engineering blueprints).
- IT & Computer Skills: Good IT skills, including functional operating knowledge of Windows OS, MS Word (for report generation), and MS Excel (for data entries and inventory tracking).
- Experience: 0–3 years of hands-on experience in instrument assembly, mechanical fitting, component fabrication, or field service (freshers with strong practical skills are welcome to apply).
- Travel Readiness: High willingness to travel on short notice across Odisha, Jharkhand, and Chhattisgarh for site assignments.

- Practical Problem-Solving: Ability to diagnose mechanical assembly misalignments and structural fitting issues on-site.
- Communication Skills: Professional demeanour when interacting with local Kolkata suppliers and industrial client representatives in metallurgical QA labs.
- Adaptability: Comfortable transitioning between a factory/office setting, vendor workshops, and heavy industrial plant sites.

Working Conditions & Remuneration

- Base Location: Kolkata (factory/office visits required).
- Travel Allowance: All official travel, lodging, and daily allowances (DA) for outstation site visits will be fully covered as per company policy.
- Salary: Commensurate with qualifications, technical hands-on capability, and prior experience.
