We are hiring a skilled and detail-oriented CAD Designer for a long-term opportunity with a growing technical team working on construction, utilities, civil, roadway, and infrastructure-related projects.

Role OverviewThe CAD Designer will be responsible for producing accurate, clear, and high-quality technical drawings and plan sets based on project requirements, client inputs, mark-ups, field information, sketches, aerial imagery, and direction from project managers.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on drafting work and wants to build a long-term career in CAD design. The successful candidate will be expected to work independently on assigned drawings while collaborating closely with project managers, engineers, designers, and other internal stakeholders to ensure that all deliverables are complete, accurate, consistent, and submitted on time.

You should be comfortable handling multiple drawing assignments, incorporating detailed feedback, following established CAD standards, and maintaining a strong focus on quality and precision.

- Key ResponsibilitiesCAD Drafting & Drawing PreparationPrepare preliminary, intermediate, and final technical drawings using AutoCAD.
- Develop accurate layouts, plans, details, exhibits, and supporting drawing documentation for construction, utility, civil, roadway, site-development, and infrastructure-related projects.
- Convert sketches, field notes, aerial imagery, survey information, client plan sets, and project-manager instructions into clear and professionally formatted drawings.
- Review existing plans and drawings to understand the project scope, work limits, site conditions, and drafting requirements.
- Create and update base maps, plan views, details, notes, callouts, legends, title blocks, and other drawing elements as required.
- Ensure drawings are properly scaled, dimensioned, labelled, and organised for ease of review and use.
- Design Coordination & RevisionsWork closely with project managers and technical team members to understand project requirements, priorities, and delivery timelines.




- Process redline comments and revise drawings accurately based on feedback from project managers, clients, and other stakeholders.
- Identify missing, unclear, or conflicting information in project inputs and raise questions with the relevant team member before proceeding.
- Incorporate changes efficiently while ensuring that revisions are accurately reflected across all relevant drawings and documents.
- Maintain consistency between plan sheets, details, notes, schedules, and associated project documents.
- Quality ControlReview completed drawings thoroughly before submission to ensure accuracy, consistency, clarity, and completeness.
- Check drawings for drafting errors, incorrect dimensions, missing notes, layer inconsistencies, incorrect references, and formatting issues.
- Ensure all deliverables meet internal CAD standards, client requirements, project specifications, and applicable industry standards.
- Support the preparation of submission-ready drawing packages and ensure documents are properly named, organised, and version-controlled.
- Take ownership of the quality of assigned work and continuously improve drawing efficiency and presentation standards.
- Project & Documentation ManagementMaintain organised project folders, drawing files, revision histories, reference files, and supporting documentation.
- Follow defined file-naming conventions, CAD templates, layer standards, plotting standards, and internal drafting procedures.
- Update the internal project-management system with the status of assigned tasks and deliverables.
- Track deadlines and proactively communicate if additional clarification, information, or time is required.
- Manage multiple assignments simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail and meeting agreed project timelines.
- Required QualificationsMinimum 2 years of professional experience as a CAD Designer, CAD Drafter, AutoCAD Draftsman, or in a similar technical drafting role.
- Diploma, associate degree, bachelor’s degree, or equivalent qualification in Drafting, CAD, Civil Engineering, Architecture, Construction Technology, or a related field.
- Strong proficiency in AutoCAD, including layers, blocks, xrefs, layouts, plotting, annotations, dimensions, title blocks, and drawing organisation.




- Autodesk Certified Professional certification is preferred; candidates with strong practical AutoCAD experience will also be considered.
- Experience processing redlines and revising technical drawings based on detailed feedback.
- Experience working with construction, civil, utility, roadway, site-development, or infrastructure drawing sets.
- Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and ability to identify drafting inconsistencies.
- Ability to understand technical instructions, drawings, plans, and project documentation.
- Good written and verbal English communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365, including Excel, Word, Outlook, and Teams.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with a remote team.
- Comfortable working approximately 6:00 PM to 3:00 AM IST.
- Genuine interest in building a long-term career in CAD and technical drafting.
- Preferred QualificationsExperience working on utility, roadway, civil, construction, public works, or site-development projects.
- Familiarity with reading civil, architectural, utility, construction, and roadway plans.
- Experience using aerial imagery, GIS-based information, survey data, or field inputs in drawing preparation.
- Knowledge of drafting standards, quality-control procedures, and document-management processes.
- Exposure to traffic control, work-zone layouts, utility construction, or infrastructure drawings.
- Experience working with international clients or remote project-management teams.
- Familiarity with additional drafting or design tools will be an advantage.
