We are looking for a creative and detail-oriented Video Editor to take our raw footage and transform it into high-impact, polished content. You will play a key role in driving viewer retention, visual branding, and audience growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Assembly & Pacing: Cut, trim, and arrange footage to maintain a tight, engaging narrative structure.
- Visual Assets: Add relevant b-roll, motion graphics, dynamic text overlays, and sound effects (SFX) to elevate production value.
- Audio Enhancement: Clean up raw audio, balance dialogue levels, and select appropriate background music tracks.
- Retention Optimization: Craft strong visual "hooks" in the first 3 seconds of a video to maximize viewer retention.
- Platform Adaptation: Format and optimize edits for multiple platforms (e.g.,
16:9 for YouTube, 9:16 for Reels/TikTok).
Required Skills & Experience
- Software Proficiency: Expert knowledge of Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or DaVinci Resolve. (Knowledge of After Effects is a huge plus).
- Portfolio: A proven track record with a portfolio or reel demonstrating solid timing, pacing, and storytelling.
- Pacing & Trends: Deep understanding of current social media video trends, memes, sound design, and retention strategies.
- Reliability: Ability to meet strict deadlines and handle constructive feedback constructively.
