Job Description – Senior Accountant

We are looking for an experienced, detail-oriented, and responsible Senior Accountant to join our team. The ideal candidate should have solid accounting knowledge, experience in statutory compliance, and the ability to independently manage day-to-day accounting operations while ensuring accuracy and timely financial reporting.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage complete accounting operations, including sales, purchases, receipts, payments, journal entries, and bank transactions.
- Maintain accurate books of accounts using accounting software (Nakoda, Tally Prime, or equivalent) and MS Excel.
- Prepare and finalize monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Handle GST, TDS, and other statutory compliances, including timely return filing and reconciliations.
- Perform bank, vendor, customer, and ledger reconciliations and resolve discrepancies.
- Monitor accounts receivable and accounts payable, ensuring timely collections and payments.
- Prepare MIS reports, cash flow statements, profit & loss reports, balance sheets, and other financial reports for management.
- Coordinate with auditors, tax consultants, banks, and government authorities during audits and compliance activities.
- Verify invoices, expense claims, and financial documents to ensure accuracy and compliance with company policies.
- Maintain proper documentation and filing of financial records in both physical and digital formats.
- Supervise and guide junior accounting staff while ensuring smooth workflow within the accounts department.
- Support management with financial planning, budgeting, and cost analysis.
- Ensure confidentiality of financial information and adherence to internal controls and company policies.

Required Skills & Qualifications





- Bachelor's degree in Commerce (B.Com), M.Com, MBA (Finance), or equivalent.
- 4–8 years of experience as a Senior Accountant or in a similar accounting role.
- Strong knowledge of GST, TDS, Income Tax, bookkeeping, and accounting principles.
- Proficiency in Tally Prime, Nakoda ERP, MS Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, formulas), and accounting software.
- Experience in finalization of accounts and statutory compliance.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and manage multiple accounting tasks efficiently.
