As we expand our presence across Bengaluru and Hyderabad , we are looking for an exceptional Senior College Counselor – University Admissions to join our counseling leadership team.

About the Role

This is a senior, high-ownership position for an experienced college counseling professional who can independently guide students and families through the complete undergraduate university admissions journey.

This is not simply an application-management role .

The successful candidate will be expected to provide strategic counseling across academic planning, profile development, university selection, application strategy, essays, interviews and final university decisions.

The individual will also contribute to strengthening QFS's overall counseling practice and mentoring other members of the counseling team.

Key Responsibilities

- Develop personalized undergraduate admissions strategies for students
- Counsel students and parents on university and major selection
- Build strategic and balanced university shortlists based on academic profile, interests, career goals and admissions competitiveness
- Guide students on academic planning, extracurricular development, research, internships, competitions, summer programs and other profile-building opportunities




- Advise students on admissions strategy for highly selective universities
- Guide and review Common App, UC, UCAS and other international university applications
- Provide strategic guidance and feedback on personal statements, supplemental essays, resumes/activity lists and other application materials
- Advise students on Early Decision, Early Action and Regular Decision strategies for US universities
- Support students preparing for university interviews
- Conduct regular counseling meetings with students and parents
- Track application timelines, requirements and student progress
- Stay current with changes in international university admissions policies and requirements
- Collaborate with QFS counselors, mentors, faculty and leadership on student strategy
- Mentor and support junior members of the counseling team
- Help strengthen counseling processes, quality standards and best practices across QFS

Candidate Profile

We are looking for someone with:

- 8+ years of substantial experience in college counseling, university guidance or international undergraduate admissions
- Deep knowledge of US undergraduate admissions , particularly highly selective universities
- Strong understanding of the Common Application and University of California application system
- Good understanding of UK undergraduate admissions and UCAS
- Experience with Oxbridge and other highly selective UK universities would be an advantage
- Experience counseling students applying to destinations such as Singapore, Hong Kong, Canada and Europe would be an additional advantage




- Strong understanding of academic and extracurricular profile development for high school students
- Excellent university research and shortlisting capabilities
- Strong understanding of essays, personal statements and application positioning
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to confidently counsel and communicate with both students and parents
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to independently manage multiple student cases and application timelines
- A student-centric, ethical and highly professional approach to college counseling

Experience working in the college counseling department of a leading international school, IB school, Cambridge school or established university admissions organization would be highly valued.
