As a Data Migration Engineer, a typical day involves executing comprehensive data migration tasks by carefully extracting, transforming, and loading data into designated target systems following established guidelines. The role requires building, running, and validating migration scripts and processes to maintain high standards of data quality and consistency. Throughout the day, the engineer collaborates with various stakeholders to ensure smooth data transitions and addresses any challenges that arise during the migration process, ensuring seamless integration and minimal disruption to business operations. Roles & Responsibilities: - Expected to be an SME, collaborate and manage the team to perform.- Responsible for team decisions.- Engage with multiple teams and contribute on key decisions.- Provide solutions to problems for their immediate team and across multiple teams.- Oversee the development and execution of migration strategies to meet project timelines and quality standards.- Facilitate knowledge sharing and mentoring within the team to enhance overall performance and skill development.- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to identify potential risks and implement mitigation plans.- Support junior team members by providing guidance and assistance in their tasks and professional growth. Professional & Technical Skills: - Must To Have Skills: Proficiency in Python (Programming Language).- Valuable To Have Skills: Experience with Microsoft SQL Server.- Strong ability to design, develop, and optimize data migration scripts and workflows using Python.- Experience in handling large datasets and ensuring data integrity during migration processes.- Familiarity with data extraction, transformation, and loading techniques to support complex migration projects.- Capability to troubleshoot and resolve issues related to data inconsistencies and migration failures. Additional Information: - The candidate should have minimum 5 years of experience in Python (Programming Language).- This position is based at our Hyderabad office.- A 15 years full time education is required.
