Responsibilities
• Design, build, and maintain Android application features and components using Kotlin, meeting defined requirements
and quality standards.
• Own code quality and maintainability for assigned Android components, including proactively identifying and reducing
technical debt.
• Implement and maintain unit and UI tests for critical Android application paths to ensure reliable, repeatable coverage.
• Make sound component-level design choices within the existing Android architecture, keeping implementation
consistent and extensible.
• Submit well-scoped pull requests, respond promptly to review feedback, and provide constructive code reviews for
peers, including junior engineers.
• Communicate progress, risks, and testing readiness clearly with Product Owners, QA, Back-end Engineers, Scrum
Masters, and offshore delivery counterparts.
• Ensure application performance, responsiveness, and quality across supported Android devices and OS versions for
assigned features.
• Contribute to shared Android libraries and reusable components to improve development efficiency and code quality
across the mobile team.
• Mentor junior and mid-level Android engineers through practical guidance, pairing, and day-to-day knowledge sharing.
• Stay current on Android platform, framework, and tooling developments, applying relevant improvements to owned
components.
Requirements
• 6–9 years of professional experience in mobile application development, with a strong focus on native Android
engineering.
• Proven expertise in Kotlin and modern Android application architecture patterns.
• Strong working knowledge of Android SDKs, APIs,



and standard or third-party libraries.
• Experience integrating mobile applications with backend services via REST APIs and JSON, with working familiarity
with SQL/NoSQL data stores.
• Experience writing, maintaining, and executing unit and UI tests for mobile applications.
• Practical experience with Git-based version control and Agile/Scrum delivery practices.
• Experience diagnosing and troubleshooting mobile application issues, including performance and responsiveness across
device types.
• Experience reviewing code and providing technical guidance to junior or mid-level engineers
