Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Technical Support professional to support maintenance planning, technical troubleshooting, and procedure development at a power generation facility. This role partners closely with the Maintenance Supervisor, Operations, Engineering, and Plant Leadership to improve maintenance processes, develop repair strategies, and ensure safe and reliable plant operations.

Key Responsibilities

- Develop and improve maintenance processes, procedures, and work instructions.

- Plan and coordinate maintenance activities with Operations and Engineering teams.

- Provide technical support for troubleshooting plant equipment and abnormal operating conditions.

- Develop effective repair strategies and preventive maintenance schedules.

- Conduct job site inspections, pre-job safety briefings, and enforce safe work practices.

- Ensure maintenance activities comply with environmental permits and regulatory procedures.

- Prepare budget requests for maintenance projects and capital improvements.

- Track departmental expenses and provide monthly budget forecasts.

- Train maintenance personnel on tools, equipment, procedures, and safety practices.





- Respond to emergency maintenance calls outside normal working hours as required.

Required Qualifications

- 4+ years of experience in power plant maintenance, industrial maintenance, engineering, or related military experience.

- Strong knowledge of power plant equipment, systems, and operations with an Instrumentation & Controls background.

- Experience with predictive maintenance techniques including:

- Thermography

- Vibration Analysis

- Ultrasound

- Tribology

- Working knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation maintenance practices.

- Understanding of maintenance management processes and work planning.

- Ability to manage multiple maintenance projects simultaneously.

- Excellent communication and coordination skills across operations, engineering, and maintenance teams.

- Robust commitment to workplace safety and environmental compliance.

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience in power plant operations or maintenance management.

- Formal training in project management or maintenance management.

- Familiarity with capital improvement planning and maintenance budgeting.

Work Environment

- Onsite role at a power generation facility in Wheatfield, Indiana.

- Requires occasional after-hours emergency response support.

- Safety-sensitive industrial environment.
