Job Description - Senior Analytics Engineer / Semantic Data Modeler (AWS Lakehouse)
Key Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement scalable semantic data models supporting enterprise reporting, analytics, and self-service BI initiatives.
- Develop and maintain conceptual, logical, and physical data models using industry-standard modeling methodologies and tools.
- Build Domain Marts, Star Schemas, Snowflake Schemas, and Medallion Architecture-based data products for business consumption.
- Develop and optimize SQL- and Python-based data transformation and analytics solutions.
- Create and manage dbt models, semantic layers, metrics definitions, and business logic to ensure consistent analytics across the organization.
- Design and implement data models on Amazon Redshift and Redshift Serverless platforms.
- Develop and maintain analytical datasets using AWS Glue Catalog and Amazon Athena.
- Implement data quality frameworks, automated testing, and reconciliation processes across data pipelines.
- Establish Row-Level Security (RLS), Column-Level Security (CLS), Attribute-Based Access Control (ABAC), and governance controls for secure data access.
- Build CI/CD pipelines for analytics engineering assets, dbt deployments, and data platform automation.
- Collaborate closely with Data Engineers, Architects, BI Developers, and Business Stakeholders to define metrics, KPIs, and semantic models.
Support enterprise data governance initiatives through metadata management, cataloging, data lineage, and business glossary maintenance.
