- Endpoint Vulnerability Analyst
- The Endpoint Vulnerability Analyst supports enterprise endpoint vulnerability remediation programs across Windows and macOS environments.
- This role focuses on vulnerability analysis, risk-based prioritization, remediation coordination, automation, governance, reporting, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Essential Job Functions:
- Monitor and analyze endpoint vulnerability findings using Tenable/Nessus.
- Assess findings to determine business impact, root cause, and remediation requirements.
- Apply risk-based prioritization aligned to vulnerability severity, exploitability, asset criticality, and remediation SLAs.
- Coordinate endpoint remediation activities across enterprise environments.
- Support Windows and macOS updates, patching, and configuration changes.
- Manage patch deployments for operating systems and third-party applications.
- Coordinate application and browser updates and configuration changes.
- Support driver, firmware, and UEFI/BIOS update activities.
- Manage removal, upgrade, or retirement of outdated applications.
- Develop, test, troubleshoot, and maintain PowerShell scripts for automation and remediation efforts.
- Partner with testing teams to validate remediation solutions prior to deployment.
- Create and manage ServiceNow incidents, service requests, and change records.
- Support enterprise change management processes.
- Coordinate remediation execution with testing, deployment, operations, security, policy, and application teams.
- Provide endpoint troubleshooting support related to vulnerabilities and remediation deployments.
- Facilitate meetings with internal stakeholders and business partners to drive vulnerability closure.
- Maintain remediation tracking data including task status, ownership, timelines, and milestones.
- Prepare periodic status reporting on remediation progress, exceptions, and outstanding risks.
- Support remediation exception processes,
risk acceptance workflows, and waiver documentation.
- Produce vulnerability remediation metrics, including aging, SLA attainment, recurrence trends, and risk insights.
- Manage multiple remediation initiatives simultaneously within deadline-driven environments.
- Ensure compliance with security, operational, governance, and documentation standards.
- Build strong working relationships with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
- Identify recurring remediation challenges and contribute to process improvements, automation, playbooks, and standard operating procedures.
Qualifications:
Required Skills
- 5+ years of experience in Endpoint Engineering, Endpoint Operations, Vulnerability Management, Patch Management, or related disciplines.
- Experience supporting Windows and macOS endpoints in enterprise environments.
- Hands-on experience with vulnerability scanning and reporting tools such as Tenable and Nessus.
- Experience with endpoint security, patch management, and vulnerability remediation processes.
- Strong PowerShell scripting skills including script development, testing, troubleshooting, and automation.
- Proficiency with Microsoft 365 tools including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
- Experience using ServiceNow for incident, request, and change management.
- Experience with remote support and troubleshooting tools (BeyondTrust preferred).
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Intune for device management and policy administration.
Additional Required Qualifications
- Demonstrated ability to influence cross-functional teams and drive remediation efforts without direct authority.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver results with minimal supervision.
- Solid written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience preparing executive-level status reports and remediation updates.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Growth mindset with a willingness to learn new technologies, tools, and security practices.
Preferred Qualifications
- Industry certifications such as Security+, CISSP, GIAC, or equivalent.
- ITIL Foundation certification.
- Experience supporting enterprise vulnerability management programs.
- Knowledge of SLA tracking, exception handling, and risk reporting processes.
- Exposure to Microsoft Azure and cloud security concepts.
- Familiarity with enterprise endpoint deployment and software distribution processes.
- Experience developing operational and security dashboards.
- Experience reporting on vulnerability metrics such as aging, SLA compliance, remediation velocity, and recurring findings.
