Role Description The Business Development Manager – DPDPA & Consent Management is a full-time hybrid role based in Bengaluru, with flexibility for partial work from home.
The individual will be responsible for identifying and developing recent business opportunities for ComplyPlanet’s DPDPA consulting and Consent Management Platform (CMP) solutions . The role involves engaging with founders, CXOs, legal teams, IT leaders, marketing teams, compliance professionals, and other decision-makers to understand their privacy requirements and position ComplyPlanet’s solutions accordingly.
Day-to-day responsibilities include prospecting and qualifying B2B leads, conducting discovery calls and product/solution presentations, understanding clients’ DPDPA readiness, preparing proposals, coordinating demonstrations of Consent Management solutions, and working closely with ComplyPlanet’s privacy consulting and technical teams to develop suitable solutions.
The role will also involve building and managing the sales pipeline, attending industry events and networking opportunities, developing strategic accounts, tracking market developments around DPDPA, and providing insights on customer requirements, competitors, and emerging opportunities in India’s privacy technology market.




Generate and qualify B2B opportunities for DPDPA consulting and Consent Management solutions.
Identify organizations that require DPDPA assessments, implementation support, privacy operations, and CMP deployment.
Conduct discovery meetings with business, legal, compliance, marketing, and technology stakeholders.
Understand client websites, digital properties, data collection practices, and consent requirements at a business level.
Prepare commercial proposals and coordinate with consulting and technical teams for solution design.
Maintain an active sales pipeline and consistently achieve business development targets.
Participate in conferences, webinars, networking events, and DPDPA-focused industry initiatives.
Track developments in India’s privacy and consent management ecosystem and identify new market opportunities.
Proven experience in B2B business development, consultative sales, SaaS sales, or technology services .
Experience selling to businesses, preferably in privacy, compliance, cybersecurity, SaaS, legal tech, or enterprise technology .
Strong understanding of the Digital Personal Data Protection Act (DPDPA) 2023 is highly desirable.
Ability to engage confidently with CXOs, founders, legal teams, compliance teams, IT teams, and marketing teams.
Ability to understand business requirements and translate them into appropriate DPDPA and technology solutions.
Strong market research, lead generation, account development, and pipeline management skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Management, Marketing, Law, Technology, or a related field. MBA or relevant professional qualification is an advantage.
Prior experience in data privacy, cybersecurity, legal technology, GRC, SaaS, or compliance consulting will be preferred.
