About the Role nnWe are looking for an experienced Independent Electrical Design u0026 Automation Consultant with robust experience in machine-building industries to support electrical cost reduction, design standardization, value engineering, import localization, and vendor development for printing and post-printing machinery. nnThe ideal candidate will have 15+ years of experience in OEM machine building, preferably as an Electrical Design Head, Automation Manager, or equivalent senior technical position. nnKey Responsibilities nnThe consultant will be responsible for: nn- Reviewing existing electrical BOMs and identifying cost-reduction opportunities. nn- Analyzing imported electrical components and identifying suitable local/alternate sources. nn- Suggesting alternate brands and technically equivalent specifications. nn- Driving machine electrical cost reduction and value engineering. nn- Reviewing and improving electrical panel design and architecture. nn- Improving wiring, assembly, and electrical manufacturing processes. nn- Standardizing PLC, HMI, VFD, Servo, and other automation platforms. nn- Developing and maintaining Approved Vendor Lists (AVL). nn- Supporting import sourcing from China, Taiwan, Korea, and India. nn- Preparing detailed technical specifications for purchasing and vendor development. nn- Supporting technical evaluation and approval of alternate makes. nn- Developing reliable and cost-effective electrical component vendors. nn- Identifying opportunities for import substitution and localization. nnRequirementsRequired Experience nnThe ideal consultant should have: nn- 15+ years of experience in electrical design and automation for OEM machine building. nn- Strong hands-on experience with Siemens, Mitsubishi, Delta, and/or Inovance platforms. nn- Extensive experience in electrical panel design, machine wiring, and automation systems. nn- Proven experience in value engineering and BOM optimization.



nn- Solid understanding of import localization and alternate component development. nn- Experience in vendor development and technical vendor evaluation. nn- Proven experience in alternate make approval and equivalent component selection. nn- Experience with China/Taiwan sourcing and supplier development. nnPreferred Industry Experience nnExperience in one or more of the following industries is preferred: nn- Printing machinery nn- Packaging machinery nn- Converting machinery nn- Textile machinery nn- CNC / Industrial machinery nn- Special Purpose Machines (SPMs) nnProven Track Record nnCandidates should be able to demonstrate successful experience in: nn- Electrical BOM cost reduction nn- Alternate make development and approval nn- China/Taiwan component sourcing nn- Import localization nn- Electrical design standardization nn- PLC/HMI/VFD/Servo platform standardization nn- Vendor development nn- Electrical panel cost optimization nn- Machine electrical value engineering nnIdeal Candidate nnThis opportunity is particularly suitable for a retired Electrical Design Head, Automation Manager, or senior Electrical/Automation professional from a reputed machine-building/OEM company who has strong practical knowledge and an established understanding of electrical components, suppliers, machine design, and automation systems. nnThe consultant should be hands-on, commercially aware, technically strong, and capable of working directly with Design, Purchase, Production, and Vendor Development teams to deliver measurable cost savings. nnEngagement Objective nnThe primary objective of this consultancy is to achieve measurable reduction in electrical cost, improved standardization, higher localization, reliable alternate sourcing, and improved electrical design and manufacturing efficiency for printing and post-printing machinery. nnInterested candidates may share their CV/profile along with details of relevant projects, cost savings achieved, sourcing/localization experience, and expected consultancy terms. .
