Job Title: Content Writer Location: Vidyashilp University, Bengaluru Reports To: Brand Manager Job Type: Full time ( 6 days working) Vidyashilp University is seeking a creative, detail-oriented, and enthusiastic Content Writer to join our Communications & Marketing team . The ideal candidate will have 1–2 years of experience in both long-form and short-form content writing, with a passion for crafting impactful content that connects with a diverse audience—including students, faculty, alumni, and prospective candidates. The Content Writer will play a key role in developing engaging written materials that consistently reflect the university’s voice, values, and mission across multiple platforms. Content Creation Write and edit a range of content, including blog posts, articles, website copy, social media posts, newsletters, and promotional materials. Develop high-quality long-form content such as research-based articles, whitepapers, and feature stories for the university’s blog, website, and publications. Craft engaging short-form content for platforms like Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, and Instagram to highlight university events, initiatives, and achievements. Assist in creating marketing collateral such as brochures, email campaigns, and event flyers. Conduct in-depth research on industry trends, academic developments,



and university-related topics to develop original, insightful content. Collaborate with the communications team to brainstorm content ideas aligned with Vidyashilp University’s goals and brand. Brand Voice and Tone Maintain a consistent brand voice across all content and communication channels, in line with the university’s mission, vision, and audience. Coordinate with content and marketing teams to align writing with overall branding and marketing objectives. SEO and Content Optimization Apply SEO best practices to improve search engine visibility and online reach. Optimize content using relevant keywords, metadata, and structured formatting for enhanced readability and performance. Revise content based on feedback from senior team members and subject matter experts. Participate in editorial meetings and collaborate with designers, content creators, and marketing specialists to develop multi-platform content. Bachelor’s degree in English, Journalism, Communications, Marketing, or a related field. ~1–4 years of experience in content writing (both long-form and short-form). ~ Excellent writing skills with strong attention to detail, grammar, and syntax. ~ Familiarity with SEO principles and content optimization for search engines.
