Role Overview
We are looking for a Media Monitoring Analyst to monitor, analyse and report on developments across TV, print, digital and social media. The role will focus on identifying relevant news, conversations, narratives and emerging issues, and converting large volumes of information into clear, concise and actionable insights.
The ideal candidate should have strong news awareness, analytical ability, attention to detail and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and constantly evolving media setting.

Key Responsibilities
1. Media Monitoring
● Monitor TV news, newspapers, digital publications and other relevant media sources.
● Track news, statements, announcements, events, controversies and emerging narratives.
● Identify relevant coverage using defined keywords, subjects, personalities, organisations and issues.
● Maintain structured media databases and trackers.

2. Social Media Monitoring
● Monitor X, Facebook, Instagram, YouTube and other relevant platforms.
● Track trending conversations, viral content, sentiment and emerging narratives.




● Identify influential posts, accounts, hashtags and conversations requiring attention.
● Track the spread and evolution of key narratives across platforms.

3. Analysis & Intelligence
● Analyse coverage to identify key narratives, trends, sentiment and emerging issues.
● Assess the significance and potential impact of developing stories.
● Track how narratives evolve across TV, print, digital and social media.
● Provide context and insights rather than simply reporting headlines.

4. Reporting
● Prepare daily media reports, flash updates, issue trackers and thematic analysis.
● Convert large volumes of information into clear and actionable insights.
● Track coverage volume, prominence, sentiment and reach where relevant.
● Escalate high-priority developments in a timely manner.
