Vishvasys Aerospace is an IISc-incubated deep-tech company in Bengaluru building embedded guidance, navigation and control software for UAVs, launch vehicles and spacecraft. We are a team of about ten engineers working across GNC algorithms, embedded systems and flight software. Our work ships to real hardware and flies.
The Role:
We are hiring GNC engineers for our space systems team. You will own algorithms end to end from the mathematics, through 6-DoF simulation, down to real-time code running on flight processors for launch vehicle and spacecraft applications.
We are filling more than one position, and we expect real depth in one of three areas rather than a shallow pass at all three. Tell us in your application which one is yours:
Guidance: Trajectory design and optimisation under vehicle, actuator and mission constraints. Optimal control, convex or successive optimisation, model predictive control, predictive guidance methods (MPSP, APN or similar).
Navigation: Inertial navigation and state estimation. EKF, UKF or factor-graph estimators fusing IMU,
GNSS/RTK and aiding sensors; sensor error modelling and calibration; vision-aided estimation.
Control: Attitude and vehicle control design across flight phases. Robust and adaptive control, gain scheduling, actuator and structural-mode considerations, stability margin analysis.
What you will do
Design, implement and tune GNC algorithms for launch vehicle and spacecraft missions
Build and maintain 6-DoF simulation models of vehicle, sensors, actuators and setting
Take algorithms from MATLAB/Simulink to real-time C/C++ on embedded and space-grade processors
Run Monte Carlo dispersion campaigns and characterise robustness, margins and failure modes
Support SIL, PIL and HIL test campaigns, and analyse test and flight data
Write the requirements, design notes and verification evidence that go with flight-critical software
