About the Role:

The purpose of this role is to oversee and manage and help set up Synpulse’s new Centre of Excellence’s Reinsurance Operations Team which we are building to support a UK based specialist (Re) Insurance client company. The role is required to provide comprehensive review, analysis, reporting and control to support the client’s business in all reinsurance aspects.

A strong working knowledge of reinsurance including underwriting, claims, accounting, finance and associated processes, controls and systems (relevant experience in a Reinsurer/Broker would be a plus)
Ability to work flexibly to complete duties of the role, particularly during peak periods
Working knowledge of relevant trends and information within the insurance industry
Technical and/or analytic expertise that can be adapted to current technologies




Experience supporting work allocation and working to SLAs/ deadlines
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build solid relationships with clients, partners and internal teams
Knowledgeof London market reinsurance administrationis a plus - ideallywith a detailed understanding of all types of reinsurance
Provide trainingand mentoring to team-members to supportlearning and development
Process transformation and control improvement experience is a plus

Qualifications and Experience

Finance or Economics degree(progress towards an accountancy or audit professional qualification is considered a plus)
5+ years of relevant experience in an insurance/reinsurance company
Experience in ceded reinsuranceis desired but not essential
English language proficiency (C1 or above)
Experiencesupervisingand developingothers
