Role Description

This is a full-time, in office Accountant role based at VD JAIN & CO. in Delhi, India, focused on handling compliance and accounting work for Indian startups and SMEs. The Accountant will manage day-to-day GST, TDS, and ROC compliance, including preparing and filing returns,



maintaining accurate records, and supporting statutory audits and assurance engagements. Responsibilities include bookkeeping, ledger reconciliation, payroll calculations, and assisting with monthly and annual closing activities. The role also involves preparing working papers, responding to client queries, coordinating with the internal team for timely deliverables, and maintaining clear, professional communication with assigned client accounts. The Accountant will support process improvements, ensure adherence to regulatory timelines, and contribute to high-quality, reliable service delivery.

Qualifications

Experienced Accountant with 2–3 years of experience at a CA firm.
Strong knowledge of accounting principles, bookkeeping, and ledger reconciliation, with practical experience in Tally, BUSY or similar accounting software.
