Category Growth Manager – Home Essentials

Treebo Hospitality Ventures is one of India's largest hotel chains, managing a quick-growing portfolio of budget and mid-market hotels across the country. Building on our scale and sourcing expertise, we are launching a new D2C home essentials e-commerce platform — bringing the quality and value we've built for hotels directly to consumers.

About the Role
We are looking for a Category Growth Manager to build and scale the Home Essentials category (linen, bedsheets, toiletries, and general merchandise) on our new D2C platform — essentially a 0-to-1 mandate. This is a demand-side, P&L-owning; role: you'll define the category's assortment and pricing strategy, drive listings and visibility across our website and marketplaces, and use data to figure out what sells, why, and how to grow it. You'll work closely with sourcing/procurement, marketing, and platform/ops teams, but you own the growth number.

Key Responsibilities
•Own end-to-end category P&L; for Home Essentials on the D2C platform — revenue, margin,



and growth targets from launch through scale.
•Build the category from the ground up: define assortment architecture, prioritize SKUs, and plan catalogue expansion in phases (0-to-1, then 1-to-n).
•Own pricing and promotions strategy — competitive benchmarking, margin management, and offer design to drive conversion.
•Drive demand generation in partnership with marketing — campaign inputs, content briefs, and platform merchandising (website, marketplaces, social).
•Manage listings and category presentation across own website and third-party marketplaces (Amazon, Flipkart, etc.), optimizing for discoverability and conversion.
•Partner with sourcing/procurement to translate demand signals and catalogue gaps into vendor and product decisions.
•Track category performance — sell-through, conversion, repeat rate, contribution margin — and run rapid experiments to unlock growth.
•Identify and launch new sub-categories
