Role Description This is a full time, on-site Cost Accountant (FMCG) role based in Noida. The Cost Accountant will be responsible for tracking, analyzing, and controlling production and operating costs within the FMCG environment, ensuring accurate cost allocation and margin analysis. Daily activities include preparing and reviewing cost sheets, monitoring inventory and variance reports, supporting budgeting and forecasting,
and reconciling cost data with financial statements. The role involves posting and reviewing journal entries, assisting in month-end closing, and collaborating with operations, procurement, and finance teams to optimize cost efficiency. The Cost Accountant will also provide regular cost reports and insights to management to support pricing, profitability, and strategic decision-making.
Qualifications
Strong cost accounting skills with experience in FMCG or manufacturing environments.
Solid understanding of finance and financial statements, including P&L;, balance sheet, and cash flow.
Ability to perform accurate journal entries and maintain organized accounting records.
Advanced analytical skills with proficiency in analyzing cost drivers, variances, and trends.
Proficiency in MS Excel and familiarity with ERP/accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or similar).
