Role Description The Owner of Docker Community Pune will be responsible for leading and managing the community’s activities and growth. This full-time role, based on-site in Indore, includes planning and organizing events, coordinating meetups and workshops, and fostering collaboration among community members. The Owner will build and maintain relationships with partners, sponsors, and local organizations, while promoting the community through online channels and in-person networking. Day-to-day tasks include setting the strategic direction of the community, managing communication platforms, overseeing content for events and outreach, and ensuring an inclusive, welcoming environment. The role also involves monitoring trends in Docker and containerization to keep community activities relevant and valuable.
Qualifications
Strong understanding of Docker, containerization concepts, and modern DevOps practices.
Experience in community management, event planning, or technical user groups.




Ability to communicate clearly with technical and non-technical audiences, both in writing and in person.
Demonstrated leadership skills, including coordinating volunteers and managing multiple initiatives.
Comfort with public speaking, facilitating discussions, and representing the community at external events.
Experience using collaboration and communication tools (e.g., Slack, Discord, social media, mailing lists, video conferencing).
Solid organizational and time-management abilities to handle full-time, on-site responsibilities.
Background in software development, system administration, or cloud technologies is highly beneficial.
