I am looking for a reliable, detail-oriented freelance audio editor to partner with me.
In this role, you will handle the crucial first pass on podcasts, audiobooks, and spoken-word projects, allowing me to focus on the final mix and broadcast mastering. This is a great opportunity for a junior editor looking for consistent, guaranteed monthly work and the chance to refine their skills in professional dialogue editing.
What You Will Do:
Audio Cleanup: Surgically remove mouth clicks, harsh breaths, plosives, and background noise.
Rough Cutting: Identify and remove retakes, stumbles, and dead air while maintaining a natural, human conversational pace.
Basic Leveling: Apply rough clip gain and volume balancing to prepare the timeline for the final mix.
File Prep: Organize sessions, sync audio/video tracks if required, and format raw files for my workflow.
What I Am Looking For:
Proficiency in a standard DAW (Adobe Audition preferred).
Experience with spectral editing and noise reduction (iZotope RX is a massive plus).
A highly trained ear for natural dialogue—knowing what to cut, and more importantly, what not to cut.
Someone highly communicative, reliable, and capable of hitting deadlines without micromanagement.
The Details:
Compensation: ₹10,000 / month.
Commitment: Part-time/Retainer (Remote).
Timeline: Ready to start immediately.
How to Apply:
If this sounds like a fit, please send me a DM Start your message with the word "WORKSPACE" so I know you read the full post, and include a link to 1 or 2 examples of spoken-word, podcast, or dialogue editing you have previously completed.
Feel free to tag anyone in your network who might be a valuable fit
