Assistant Manager – Operations & Maintenance (India)
Job Description
This key role will be responsible to manage and supervise the in office activities related to machines working to perform railway track construction, and rail grinding projects and operations—particularly involving track machines ensuring timely execution, technical compliance, and adherence to safety and quality standards. This role will be based across multiple machine work locations pan-India.
Key Responsibilities:
Supervise and monitor the operation, deployment,



and maintenance of track machines at the site.
Ensure all site activities comply with project plans, engineering standards, and safety procedures.
Read and understand contractual obligations clearly. Prepare strong correspondence with customers on contractual matters relating to O&M.;
Coordinate with project stakeholders, contractors, and vendors for timely execution of work.
Maintain and organize all project documentation including drawings, reports, approvals, and technical correspondences.
Ensure preventive and scheduled maintenance of machines is carried out as per guidelines, with proper records maintained.
Identify, assess, and resolve on-site technical issues promptly in coordination with engineering teams.
Monitor site safety compliance and support implementation of safety protocols.
Track and report project progress through regular updates and progress reports to management.
