AtumX is seeking a skilled Manufacturing Engineer to lead and optimize our manufacturing operations, including process planning, SOP development, supply chain coordination, and assembly line improvement.

Key Responsibilities
Manufacturing Process Planning
Plan and design the manufacturing process from raw materials to finished products
Define production workflows, equipment requirements, and resource allocation
Implement lean manufacturing principles and identify optimization opportunities

SOP Creation & Documentation
Create, review, and maintain Standard Operating Procedures for all manufacturing processes
Ensure documentation meets safety and quality compliance standards

Supply Chain Management
Manage supplier relationships and coordinate material procurement
Plan inventory levels and resolve supply chain bottlenecks
Monitor supplier performance and incoming material quality

Assembly Line Optimization
Identify inefficiencies and implement improvements to increase productivity




Conduct time studies to reduce cycle time and improve OEE

Quality & Safety Management
Ensure processes meet quality and safety standards
Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions

Performance Monitoring & Reporting
Track key manufacturing metrics and report on performance and KPIs

Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related discipline
2–5 years of hands-on experience in manufacturing operations or process engineering
Experience with SOP creation, lean manufacturing, or Six Sigma methodologies
Strong analytical, communication, and documentation skills
Based in Chennai or willing to relocate

Preferred Qualifications
Experience in automotive, electronics, or production-heavy manufacturing environments
Familiarity with ERP systems and manufacturing software
Certification in Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or a related field
