Features like rooms capped at six participants, collective “veto power” over content, synchronous engagement tools, and vibe-based matching foster authentic co-presence. Shoal is building a current social architecture focused on meaningful interaction, not passive consumption.
Role Description The cofounder role at Shoal is a full-time remote position responsible for driving strategic growth, partnerships, and ecosystem development. This role will identify, negotiate, and manage partnerships with creators, communities, platforms, and potential distribution or technology collaborators that align with Shoal’s synchronous social vision.



Day-to-day responsibilities include building and maintaining key external relationships, developing joint go-to-market initiatives, and collaborating with product, engineering, and marketing to integrate partner feedback and co-create new experiences. The Partner will analyze market trends and user behavior, refine partnership strategy, and ensure all collaborations enhance Shoal’s core experience of intimate, high-fidelity social engagement. This role also involves representing Shoal at relevant events, advocating for the product, and helping shape the long-term partnership roadmap.
Qualifications

Experience in partnership development, business development, or strategic alliances, with a track record of sourcing, negotiating, and closing high-impact deals.
Background in social media, consumer tech, creator economy, or entertainment, with strong understanding of online communities and content ecosystems.
