Programme Coordinator – Environment Conservation

Location: Ahmedabad | Regular field travel across Gujarat

Language Proficiency: Gujarati – Fluent; Hindi & English – Working proficiency

About the Role

VSSM is looking for a smart, proactive, and organised Programme Coordinator to support its Workplace Conservation team. The role will involve a combination of desk-based coordination and fieldwork, working closely with the Manager and field team to ensure smooth implementation of projects such as tree plantation, lake desilting, and water conservation.

Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate with the Manager and field team on day-to-day project activities.
- Follow up with field teams on targets, timelines, and project requirements.
- Visit project sites regularly and support the field team when required.
- Maintain project data, photographs, reports, and other documentation.
- Prepare MIS, presentations, and regular project updates.
- Coordinate with internal teams such as Accounts, Fundraising, and Communication.




- Track project progress and highlight challenges to the Manager.
- Support donor visits, field visits, and preparation of donor reports.
- Ensure timely collection and submission of information from the field.

Requirements
- Graduate in any relevant discipline; Environmental Science, Social Work, Rural Development, or related fields will be preferred.
- Freshers or candidates with up to 1 year of experience are welcome to apply.
- Smart, proactive, and willing to learn.
- Good communication and coordination skills.
- Comfortable working with both field teams and office teams.
- Good working knowledge of MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Strong follow-up and organisational skills.
- Open to travel when required.
