External Job Description
Design of Dry & Oil filled transformers up to 20MVA /33kV , 50MVA/132kV respectively
Understanding customer specifications, application requirement
Should be able to prepare electrical designs for various types of transformers
Techno commercial knowledge will have added advantage
Support to Sales team in order booking by effective tendering / Enquiries which includes design of transformer, preparation of GTPs and cost sheets
Understanding of National / International standards related to transformers
Knowledge on testing will have added advantage
Knowledge on special transformers like drive control /Converter / inverter/ rectifier/ wind/ solar/ earthing/reactor/ scott T etc is preferrable
Well versatile with ISO processes
Should have worked on Standardisation, optimisation & documentation aspects of product.
Experience in current product development & validation
Releasing manufacturing documents (Manufacturing drawings, procurement documents, winding cards, long lead items & BOMs)




Support continual improvement programme by analysing and taking corrective actions on NCRs & customer complaints
Preparing effective RCAs and ensuring horizontal & effective deployment
Ensuring robust design processes
Reverse engineering to support service and repair segment
Technical discussion within team for self and team upgradation
Cooperative approach towards inter departmental discussions
Technical discussions with customers during order booking, drawing approval & execution.
Technical discussion with suppliers and support in developing new materials and suppliers
Knowledge of transformer accessories
Candidate should have positive communications skills
Ensuring departmental KPIs and maintaining required database
Focus on standardisation & optimisation.
Support in developing design software.
Candidate should have sound knowledge of VPI & CRT technology
