Key Responsibilities
Communication – Customer and Internal CFT communication, lead activities and close in time
Conduct & Drive Engineering feasibility, DFMEA, DFA, DFS, RM selections, shrinkage study, product feasibility reviews, MFA review, Manufacturing feasibility review, Coordination with CFT for product development activities, prototypes/mock up development.
EBOM – Knowledge of BOM preparation and management, Understanding Assembly structure and process flow
Responsible for Checking Fixtures design review and approval
Responsible for EGP and MF reviews and sign off with internal and external customers.
DV/PV – Understand DV/PV requirement, prepare test plan, align with customer, and sign off.

Get test parts prepared, review and approve for testing
Define DV/PV requirement and sign off with internal external customer.
Build and FTN – Participate in internal and customer builds, FTN activities, identify issues, maintain open issue list.

Issues root cause analysis and resolution.

Craftsmanship review, analysis, and issue resolution
Engineering signs off with customer – Prepare, submit ESO documents and get approvals from customer
Drive Grain map analysis & CMF development activities with respective suppliers.





Skills and Requirements
Valuable written and verbal communication skills.
Knowledge in 3D CAD and drawings, able to review data in software like NX or Catia
Complete product life cycle experience of launching interior products like IP,DP,FC, Pillar Trims etc
Knowledge of Processes– Screwing, Heat Staking, US welding, Vibration welding, SPM, Fixtures, Cut Sew, Wrap, Painting, Chrome plating, hydrographic, Pad Printing, INS etc.
Knowledge of material properties and selection criteria
Vehicle craftsmanship knowledge
Knowledge of GD & T, Stack up analysis
Ability to interpret CAE and MF reports
Knowledge of problem-solving methodologies like A3, G8D, CAPA etc
Excellent planning skills.

Should be able to make a tactical plan.
Knowledge of PLM and Data Management through PLM systems

Education and Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree on Mechanical/ Industrial/automobile engineering.
8+ years of experience in Product Engineering/Product Development
7+ years of experience of working on IP/ DP/ FC Product Development programs
Experience of IP/ DP/ FC Program launch
