Role Description The Interior Estimator is a full-time, in office role based in Chennai. This role is responsible for preparing detailed cost estimates for interior fit-out and manufacturing projects, including materials, labor, and vendor services. Day-to-day work includes reviewing drawings and specifications, performing quantity take-offs, coordinating with project managers, designers, and suppliers, and updating estimates based on design changes.

The Interior

Estimator will analyze bids, negotiate pricing with vendors, support budgeting and tender submissions,



and help ensure that projects are delivered within approved cost and time parameters. The role also involves maintaining estimation records, assisting in value engineering, and contributing to continuous improvement in estimating processes.

Qualifications
Strong skills in quantity take-offs, cost estimation, and budgeting for interior fit-out and manufacturing projects.
Proficiency in reading and interpreting architectural and interior drawings, specifications, and BOQs.
Experience with estimation and project management software, spreadsheets, and general computer applications.
Ability to coordinate with design, procurement, and site teams, and communicate clearly with vendors and clients.
Attention to detail, numerical accuracy, and the ability to work to tight deadlines in a fast-paced workplace.
Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Civil Engineering, Interior Design, Quantity Surveying, or a related field.
Previous experience in interior estimation, fit-out, or construction industry is highly beneficial.
Knowledge of local market rates, materials, and construction practices in Chennai and surrounding regions.
