Role Overview
As a Software Tester, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality, reliability, and stability of banking application platforms by identifying, documenting, and supporting the resolution of software defects. The role involves close collaboration with cross-functional teams to validate functionality, improve product quality, and enhance the overall user experience.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and execute detailed test plans covering application functionalities, integrations, and end-to-end user workflows across Finacle and other banking application platforms.
Utilize automation tools and testing frameworks such as Selenium, Cypress, and similar technologies to improve testing efficiency and reduce manual effort.
Work closely with developers, product owners, and business analysts to understand requirements, create test cases, and identify potential risks or gaps.
Review logs, reports, and user feedback to investigate defects, application issues, and performance concerns.
Record and communicate defects in a clear and structured manner, including steps required for reproduction and resolution.
Promote quality-focused practices within the team through proactive testing and continuous improvement initiatives.
Keep abreast of evolving testing practices, tools, and methodologies, and assess opportunities for their adoption.
Qualifications
Minimum 2 years of experience in software testing, preferably within the FinTech or financial services sector.
Solid knowledge of software testing concepts, methodologies, and best practices, including Agile and Waterfall approaches, Behavior-Driven Development (BDD), and exploratory testing.
Experience working with automation testing frameworks such as Selenium, Cypress, or Appium is advantageous.
Familiarity with API testing and cloud-based platforms is beneficial.
